"But indeed I would rather have nothing but tea."
-Jane Austen, Mansfield Park
Tea and Jane Austen novels--the greatest combo since bread and butter. For this new blog series, I've decided to add a twist to the beloved tea-and-Austen pairing. In each of six blog posts (including this one), I'll be offering you a different recipe for a delicious, signiture hot drink (no alcohol)! In addition, each hot drink will be paired with the Jane Austen novel that it best suits. Each drink is easy and quick to make, and is absolutely delicious.
Today, the recipe for Peanut Butter Hot Chocolate.
INGREDIENTS
1. 1-1/2 cups of milk
2. 1/2 cup of semisweet chocolate chips
3. 1/4 cup of peanut butter (not chunky)
DIRECTIONS 1. Heat milk in a nonstick saucepan until it begins to simmer
2. Add in chocolate and peanut butter and whisk until smooth
3. Pour into a mug and enjoy! (This recipe makes more than 1 serving)
PAIR WITH: Sense and Sensibility

Peanut butter and chocolate, the eternal friends. They are always a good combo, and are always on each other's side. If, perhaps, peanut butter's beau became interested in another sugary treat, chocolate would be there for her. They can function separately, but they are happier and more delicious togther.
...see what I did there? :)
So make sure you're watching the website and Twitter for the next installment of Tea & Austen!
