In Which Weird Al Yankovic Schools Everyone

So, in the last post I expressed my immense dislike of Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines. And I totally stand by everything I said--that song is eight shades of awful.

But guess what? I finally found a use for Blurred Lines!

This past summer, Weird Al Yankovic shared with the world a song and music video entitled Word Crimes. The song, set to the tune of Blurred Lines, talks about the many "word crimes" that people commit. Some of these crimes include incorrect conjugation, using the word "literally" when one doesn't actually mean literally, and using numbers in a word.

So basically Weird AL Yankovic schools everyone about correct grammer while simultaneously improving Blurred Lines, which is all kinds of epic. Seriously, it's amazing. It should be played in every single English class in every corner of the world. Go listen to it!

Thank you, Weird Al Yankovic!
